We are happy to announce a spontanous workshop/discussion at BioCurious
Thursday, August 2nd, 7:30-10pm.
Marc Dusseiller and Urs Gaudenz, roving biohacker ambassadors for the Hackteria network, will be dropping by BioCurious for an open lab/hack/discussion, combining bioprinting, DIY microscopy and Hackteria intro with some hands-on stuff. Check out some of the amazing workshops and projects these guys have been involved in, at the Hackteria website, and their wiki.
Marc and Urs are both active in the framework of the Hackteria network and in the Swiss Mechatronic Art Society. They are generally interested in a transdisciplinary approach to interface Science, Technology, Art and Education.
Hackteria | Open Source Biological Art, DIY Biology, Generic Lab Infrastructure
As a community platform Hackteria tries to encourage the collaboration of scientists, hackers and artists to combine their expertise, write critical and theoretical reflections, share simple instructions to work with lifescience technologies and cooperate on the organization of workshops, festival and meetings. The aim of the project is to develop a rich web resource for people interested in or developing projects that involve DIY bioart, open source software and electronic experimentation.
